- jerks always get the girls
- shock value... feed into their destructive behavior while proving a point, expressing an opinion
- community... it's important to feel like you belong... it's easier to put things in motion when you feel supported by the people you care about...
- food brings people together... and conversations and stories naturally follow ^_^
- learning doesn't have to be boring
- "Constantly look at things in a different way... even if it's silly or wrong."
- friendship... your chosen family... people you make memories with, people you grow with, people you can share your thoughts with and who you can listen to while they share theirs... school is a breeding ground for this... school can be a different world... it can be someone's whole world
- poetry is magical
- the feeling of success can make the worst day seem amazing
- we have so many barriers we put up... free association can bypass some of those barriers... without those barriers, we're able to be more creative... creativity gives us a sense of freedom
- love is an amazing thing... but it can be confusing and it can blind you... and it can hurt you
- one difference with this teacher and the teacher from Freedom Writers is he can actually relate to his students' lives
